SWIM Mission!

We are a resource to the communities in which we serve.

Solano Women in Medicine (SWIM) is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization that operates in the northern counties in the state of California as well as collaborations in Southern California. SWIM’s mission is to TIDE the flow of health maladies that plague under-served communities such as children, seniors, emancipating foster care youth, veterans and other vulnerable populations.

The SWIM team consists of medical and community professionals who know the needs of their communities and goes about developing programs to fulfil those needs.

Programs

ACES LOW, RESILIENCE HIGH

SWIM’s objective in combating these maladies is to prevent ACEs from occurring during childhood with particular concentration on not letting ACEs reach four or more.

BUILDING BRIDGES FOR EMANCIPATING FOSTER CARE YOUTH

The SWIM team is developing a transitional housing program called A Bridge to Success where we solicit donors to sponsor emancipating foster care youth. The sponsorship program would begin once a youth in foster care turns sixteen.

FORMER INMATES REENTRY EDUCATION

The principle aim of mission of F.I.R.E. is to lower and prevent recidivism. Innovative programs such as this one in Oakland are models that we wish to collaborate with during the process of leaving transitional to more permanent housing.

SWIM's HERBAL REMEDIES

For centuries, cultures around the world have relied on traditional herbal medicines to meet their healthcare needs. SWIM’s Herbal Remedies Program objective is to provide education on basic herbal remedies to help people meet their healthcare needs in the best possible way.

LiveIt not Diet

It’s easy to get confused when it comes to health and nutrition. Even qualified experts often seem to hold opposing opinions. Yet, despite all the disagreements, a number of wellness tips are well supported by research. SWIM’s LiveIt not Diet provides the best possible Nutrition practices.
